The Mayor of the City of Ełk invites students of grades I–VIII of Ełk primary schools to participate in a pro-ecological and charity competition entitled "Let's wrap up dogs and kittens". The principle is simple: one class prepares one blanket, giving a second life to unnecessary textile materials.

With the arrival of colder days, animals staying in the "Sonieczkowo" shelter need additional warmth and comfort. The competition is a great opportunity to combine the integration of the class team with real help for homeless pets. The task of the competition is to perform blanket for animals staying in the shelter. The competition will allow classes to integrate when making a blanket together, while using unnecessary textile materials.

Entries should be submitted to the Ełk Town Hall, room no. 244.

The deadline for submitting works is November 6 2026.

The competition is financed from the budget of the City of Ełk.

The rules of the competition are available HERE.
