Winter action, in accordance with the contract with the undertaking of municipal services in Elk SP. z o. o. includes removal of mechanical and manual snow and slippery from the roadway and pedestrian.

The total area to keep the winter, compared to last year will increase by 52 841 m2 and will be 850 551 m2 urban areas covered by the agreement, including:

·          559 271 m2 roadway

·          81 099 m2 of parking lots

·          210 181 m2 of sidewalks

In the budget of the action winter scheduled amount of 1.56 million (it covers the period from December to the end of March 2017 2018 and November 2018) and is increased by 80 thousand. (than last year). The most important costs are incurred every year for the removal of mechanical and manual snow, slippery from the roadway and pedestrian, as well as the replenishment of sand and salt.

In order to ensure that this period of reduced terrain urban roads, depending on traffic and the location of institutions important to the safety of residents, the city area is divided into three zones order removing slippery and snow removal.

In this period, the PUK will have the following equipment: solarką, 3 pługopiaskarkami, 6 tractors with pługami and 4-is using spreaders with the sprinkling sand, two quad vehicles with equipment (ploughs and brushes) and two Chargers. The action will be conducted 24 hours a day.

Let Us remember that individual owners or property managers are responsible for combating slippery and snow removal the adjacent terrain.

Particular attention should be paid also to the excess snow gathering on the roofs of buildings, which, in the case of thaw causing overhangs and gutters and icebergs threatening passers-by and vehicles.
