Act of 3 February 2011 r. The Sejm of the Republic of Poland established 1 March as the National Day of Remembrance of the "Soldiers" The accursed." This was done in tribute to the "Cursed Soldiers" – heroes anti-communist underground, who in defense of the independent existence of the State Polish, fighting for the right to self-determination and the realization of aspirations democratic Polish society, with weapons in hand and in other ways, they resisted Soviet aggression and the regime imposed by force communist.

1 March The Historical Museum in Ełk invites you to participate in the celebrations:

Hours. 11:15 a.m. - Laying flowers and lighting candles at the memorial plaque on the building the former seat of the District Office of Public Security in Ełk, ul. Polish Army 1

Hours. 6:00 p.m. - Holy Mass for the Cursed Soldiers in the Cathedral of St. Adalbert in Ełk

Trail Wolf. Memory Run of the Cursed Soldiers

Municipal Sports Centre and Recreation invites you to the run, which will take place on March 6 , 2022 (Sunday) at 13.00 at the distance of 1963 m.

Route: ul. Parkowa (start) – Kilińskiego Street – Wojska Polskiego Street – Zamkowa Street – promenade by the lake – Parkowa Street (finish line).

Limit of participants: 350 people.
