They cleaned up the shores of the lake and the river

More than 100 Elczans joined today (21 March) in the action of cleaning the shores of Lake Ełk and Elk River. The president of Ełk, Tomasz Andrukiewicz, also participated in the initiative, who, together with children, young people and slightly older residents of the city, collected bottles, cans and other waste lying along the quay.

The initiative was joined by younger and older residents of Ełk, in this m.in students of the Henryk Sienkiewicz Primary School No. 3 and the Sports School Complex, as well as pupils Environmental Self-Help House "Under the Chestnuts". In total, more than 100 applied people who, searching the area along the shore of Lake Ełk and the Ełk River, filled more bags of collected garbage.

The event was organized by Polish Waters in cooperation with The city of Elk.
