Innovative Self-Government is a project of the Local Government Service of the Polish Press Agency (PAP), in which the most innovative local governments are selected and awarded. Goal the competition is the promotion of creative local governments and inspiration of other local government units to take action for the benefit of Innovation.

Today (26 May) an awards gala was held in Warsaw. City of Elk, for the submitted project for the development of e-services received a distinction among urban municipalities. When evaluating the applications, the jury of the competition took into account the innovativeness in the scale the country and the results of the solutions used. Participation in the competition was free.

The project consisted in building solutions in the field of e-administration in the Office City of Ełk. The main goal was to increase the use of modern information and communication technologies in the implemented administrative processes. A total of 16 e-services were implemented.
