Sejm of the Republic of Poland by resolution of 9 June 2016 established June 21 as the Entrepreneur's Day.

Entrepreneurs have a big impact on development socio-economic of a given region. They create jobs, they drain taxes increase the income of local governments, as well as expand the range of services in city. Thanks to them, the improvement of the quality of life of residents increases.

In Ełk there is the Suwałki Special Economic Zone Ełk Subzone and within it the Science and Technology Park, whose aim is is m.in supporting start-ups and young, innovative ideas for running your own business, as well as supporting young people developing Companies.
