A local initiative is a common tool - residents and local government - a solution project a specific problem or satisfying a specific social need.

Ideas or needs may concern various areas, e.g. small architecture, playgrounds, development of common space, roads, greenery, cultural activities, education, sport, volunteering.

On Tuesday (June 28) in The Ełk City Hall has signed a contract for the implementation of the task public within the framework of local initiatives:

·"Mission Cats"
Task: It consists in pursuing the main objectives of the urban care program homeless animals and prevention of their homelessness in the City of Ełk in 2022 The main goals include providing care for homeless cats and the sick, promoting the education system on animal protection and their humane Treatment.

Complete the cost of the initiative is PLN 63,000, including the City's contribution of PLN 19,000 PLN, and the contribution of residents – PLN 44,000.
