New medical equipment will be used in the Plant Diagnostic Imaging.  The purchase was financed from the funds of the COVID-19 Prevention Fund, in order to carry out tasks related to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19, other infectious diseases and the crises caused by them.

As part of the above-mentioned agreement, "Pro-Medica" in Ełk purchased:

1. modern 64-row computed tomograph:

•        Provides 82% reduction in exposure dose, fast scanning, high image quality,

•        Allows increase both the number and quality of scans,

•        Increases safety of the test procedure, both for patients and for Staff

•        Uses innovative method of automatic patient positioning based on algorithms artificial intelligence. This feature helps to optimize the radiation dose and image quality and avoids errors during patient positioning,

•        can be also used to image structures that are near the heart and are affected by heart movement, such as the thoracic aorta or arteries Pulmonary.

Cost purchase of a tomograph: approx. PLN 2.5 million.

2. modern bone-pulmonary X-ray apparatus:

•        Allows automatic positioning of the patient for the selected examination and performance photos of the entire spine and long bones, e.g. entire lower limbs in the position both lying and standing,

•        Allows taking X-rays for small patients directly in the drawer of the incubator, without the need to lift and change the position of the newborn,

•        is equipped with the latest digital image processing technologies,

•        additionally movable and motorized pulmonary tripod, allows you to conduct patient examinations in vertical, horizontal and lateral positions, as well as can be used for research patients on the transport table,

•        Latest the software provides high quality imaging for various diagnostic needs including paediatrics and orthopaedics.
