In Ełk in 2022, a number of activities were carried out aimed at the continuous and long-term development of prevention and resolution alcohol problems. As part of the Municipal Prevention and Resolution Program Alcohol Problems and Drug Prevention in Ełk functions:

1) Family Counselling Centre - supporting families in crisis situations and in difficult life situations. Thanks to the clinic you can get a professional, free assistance m.in in the form of:

- family and marriage counselling,

- legal advice,

- support groups for co-addicted women and adult children of alcoholics,

- individual consultations for families with a problem alcoholic,

- psychological consultations for children, adolescents and their parents,

- motivational and educational consultations,

- sociotherapeutic consultations.

Family Clinic is located in the Ełk Center Social Revitalization at 27A Kościuszki Street.

2) Preventive and Consultation Clinic - in The clinic conducts consultations and advice carried out in the field of activities preventive and therapeutic measures in the field of drug addiction psychoactive and behavioral.

Preventive and Consultation Clinic in Ełk is located at Małeckich 3 lok. 18.

In Ełk last year, income from spending permits for the sale of alcoholic beverages amounted to PLN 1,602,238.18, while for charges on the sale of alcoholic beverages in unit packages of of the nominal beverage not exceeding 300 ml amounted to PLN 590,996.58. Measures were allocated to the implementation of the Municipal Prevention Program and Solving Alcohol Problems and Counteracting Drug Addiction.

Moreover In 2022, the following were also conducted:

- co-financing in the field of addiction therapy from alcohol in the system of inpatient and outpatient treatment,

- co-financing the activities of associations and organizations acting to support addicts and co-addicts, and day support centres for children at risk, as part of Tender Competition,

- co-financing under the Competition for Offers of classes for school children and young people of a sporting nature conducted by non-governmental organisations,

- support for institutions and organizations operating on professional and social activation of addicts,

- improving the professional competences of specialists working with people addicted to alcohol and drugs and co-addicts,

- implementation of recommended programs preventive activities including activities in the field of prevention addictions in schools,

- organizing trainings for parents, teachers, employees of educational institutions in the field of prevention alcohol, drug and behavioural addictions,

- implementation of activities carried out by educators street in the open environment in housing estates and city streets,

- organization and support of preventive events, social and educational campaigns promoting a healthy lifestyle - free from addictions and aimed at children and adolescents,

- organization of events addressed to residents cities of a preventive and pro-family nature in the form of: festivals, files, social, educational and other campaigns,

- cooperation and support for self-help movements,

- control by members of the City Commission solving alcohol problems of establishments selling beverages alcohol in terms of compliance with the terms and conditions of use Authorisation

- taking steps to decide on the obligation for a person addicted to alcohol to submit treatment in a drug treatment facility.
