Goal World Down Syndrome Day celebrated on 21 March is raising public awareness of the needs of people with this Disease. Symbolically, m.in colorful, two different ones are assumed Socks. In this way, we show our support, acceptance and solidarity with people with trisomy 21 and their families.

About Down syndrome

Team birth defects caused by the presence of additional material genetic - chromosome 21. The name of this unit was taken from the name of the English physician John Langdon Down, who described team in 1866.

Action Level 21 Associations

Ełk Level 21 Association for people with Down syndrome and their families offered to join in the fun as part of celebration of this day. The idea is to record a song with showing "Everyone is different" by the band Jazzowanki, which It aims to popularize knowledge about this genetic defect.

Employees City Hall willingly joined the action. It was created the film, which today will be available on the website www.elk.pl and on FB of the City Hall.
