Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society is the organizer of the "Cyclist-Friendly Municipality" competition in the evaluation of tourists Riders.

The competition aims to support and reward m.in. activities such as:

• Investments in tourist infrastructure, e.g. bicycle paths and paths, bicycle repair points, parking spaces,

• promotion by publishing maps, guides, mobile applications or information on websites municipalities and other portals,

• Popularization cycling tourism through the organization of cyclical events,

• Organize activities for the benefit of residents and tourists related to the promotion of road safety, including cyclists

Applications of municipalities for the competition are made by tourists cyclists. The application form should be sent by 30 April 2023 to the address poczta@narowerze.pttk.pl

The city has been investing in development for years cycling infrastructure and every year new sections are created. In Ełk is already 26.6 km of bicycle paths. Currently, a path is being built at Suwalska Street, and further paths are in the planning phase.
