In On June 16-17, 2023, the delegation from Ełk took part in the celebration of the 442nd anniversary Alytus, Lithuania.

In the event was attended by delegations from Ełk, Giżycko, Suwałki, Opole, Ostrołęka, Cesis (Latvia), Berdychiv (Ukraine), Mandal (Norway), Velizy-Villacoublay (France).

City Ełk was represented by the President of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, Head of the Department Strategy and Development Renata Samełko, Head of the Social Policy Department Irena Katarzyna Podlecka and Director of the Ełk Cultural Center Aneta Werla.

Program visits included official meetings with the authorities of the city of Alytus, headed by Mayor Nerijus Cesiulis, which opened up space for talks about partner projects implemented so far and exchange of ideas for future joint initiatives.

Celebrations It was accompanied by numerous artistic performances. Participation in the celebrations was an opportunity to get to know the twin city of Alytus and Lithuania better Culture.
