We celebrate 103. Anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw

Today at 11.00 the celebrations took place
official commemorating the anniversary of the "Miracle on the Vistula". The celebrations began at
Monument to Marshal Józef Piłsudski with the participation of the Military Honor Company from
Bemów Piski. There flowers were laid and candles were lit. At 12.15 there was a
Holy Mass in the Ełk Cathedral. On the square at Pulaskiego Street from 14.00 you can
take part in numerous attractions (m.in. Family Picnic, Festival of Flavours
World). In the evening at 21.00 there will also be Cinema under the Stars in the amphitheater
ECK.
This year marks 103. Anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw
called the "Miracle on the Vistula" commemorates the victorious battle fought during the war
Polish-Bolshevik on August 15, 1920. Victory of Poles over the Army
The Red Army ensured Poland's independence and saved Europe from the Bolshevik Revolution.
At the Monument of Marshal Józef Piłsudski in Ełk At 11.00 the official ceremonies began, where flowers were laid and candles were lit. The ceremony was attended by, m.in: representatives municipal self-government headed by the president of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, parliamentarians, representatives of uniformed services, municipal institutions and residents of Ełk.
On the square at Pułaskiego Street, a part of entertainment, m.in the Festival of Tastes of the World takes place, as well as animations and competitions for children and handicraft stands.
