In following in the footsteps of last year's initiatives, also this year will take place The 16th edition of the Competition addressed to graduates of master's, engineer's, bachelor's, doctoral and doctoral degrees postgraduate students who have undertaken to write his work on Ełk, in the area of e.g. tourism and recreation, social policy, public administration, or the development of Entrepreneurship.

Winners competition will be awarded, this year's prize pool is 10,000 £.

To take part in the competition, by October 15 you must submit work at the Ełk City Hall.

In Last year, 18 works were submitted to the competition, including:

- 1 doctoral dissertation,

- 9 master's theses,

- 2 engineering works,

- 6 bachelor's theses.

President Ełk, after getting acquainted with the recommendation of the Chapter, awarded 3 awards and 3 distinctions.

From the beginning of the competition, the first edition of which took place in In 2008, 272 papers were submitted.

Subject competition entries in the past year was varied, but as always associated with the city of Ełk. These covered areas such as e.g.: landscape architecture, urban planning, spatial management and tourism, history of the city, pedagogy.
