Common Independence Day celebrations began with today, preschoolers and children of pre-primary classes, who at 12.00 in Ełk The Cultural Centre sang the Polish anthem "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego". At 5.00 p.m. in the Cathedral On St. Adalbert's Day, a Holy Mass was held for the intention of the Homeland. Then, after the Holy Mass. there was a march of the Municipal Brass Band, the Honorary Company of the Army Polish Flag Bearers and a delegation to the monument of Marshal Józef Piłsudskiego at the Ełk City Hall, where official celebrations, and flowers were laid by the m.in President of Ełk, as well as representatives of Ełk institutions, schools and non-governmental organizations in assisted by the Honorary Company from the Military Training Centre of the Land Forces – Orzysz.

11.11 Independence Run | Town Hall

Run through the streets of the city of Ełk along a marked route. Distance 1111 m one lap (max 3 laps), free participation. Start & Finish will be located at the City Hall (Piłsudskiego Street).
