Addition is a one-off cash benefit that is intended to ensure the financial support for low-income earners in the context of high inflation. Is reactivation of the shielding allowance paid in 2022.

Whom You are entitled to a shielding allowance

According to The Act on the Shielding Allowance is granted to:

• A person in your household a one-person household, in which the average monthly income does not exceed PLN 2100,

• A person in your household multi-person household, in which the average monthly income does not exceed the exceeds PLN 1500 per person;

Remark

Into Income earned in 2022 will be taken into account.

How much is Shielding allowance

Addition shall be:

• PLN 228.80/ PLN 286.00 * for one-person household;

• PLN 343.20/ PLN 429.00* for a farm 2 to 3 people;

• PLN 486.20/ PLN 607.75* for the farm 4 to 5 people

• PLN 657.80/ PLN 822.25* for a farm of at least 6 people.

*Amount The subsidy depends on the heating source. A higher benefit can be receive people who use coal or carbon-based fuel for heating. However, the condition is to report to the Central Register of Building Emissions.

Remark

Addition we can also grant a shielding when the amount of the average monthly income exceeds PLN 2100 in a one-person household and PLN 1500 in a household. We will then apply the "zloty for zloty" mechanism zloty" and we will then pay the difference between the amount of the shielding allowance and the amount average monthly income.

How receive a shielding allowance

• If you are a resident of Ełk, you should submit the application in the City Hall service room of the Benefits Department or send it via by means of electronic communication, you must then sign it qualified electronic signature or use a trusted profile.

• The granting of a shielding allowance requires a decision.

• If the application for payment of the allowance you provide an e-mail address, we will send you information about the allowance to that address.

• The money will be sent to your account indicated in the application.

The application can be submitted no later than 30 April 2024
