Folk weekend in Ełk – representatives of bands visit the town hall

World Folklore Festival RAINBOW is organized in Ełk for the 21st time. The review is attended by 11 teams from different parts of the world. Today (21 June) their representatives they visited the town hall, where they met with the president of Ełk.
Today, June 21 representatives of folklore groups from Polish, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Mexico and others countries visited the City Hall. The Mayor of Ełk, Tomasz Andrukiewicz, welcomed guests, thanking them for coming, for spreading their culture and bringing it to the to our city. Representatives of the teams told which part of the came to Ełk, talked about their bands, traditions and about this what they will present at the Festival.
World Folklore Festival RAINBOW is the most colourful cultural event in the region and one of the summer Ełk business cards, arousing great interest from the beginning of its existence. The folklore festival will last until June 23. The program is full of performances and concerts.
On the last day of the event by The streets of the city will be filled with a colourful procession of festival bands.
