Today (August 2nd) in the Ełk City Hall there was a meeting on the odour postulates. It was attended by four representatives of residents, of the media, the Mayor of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, the Mayor of the Ełk Municipality Tomasz Osewski, Deputy Head of the Municipal Property Department Paweł Górski, City Secretary Marcin Radziłowicz.

During the meeting, the postulates were analysed point by point, and it was determined which institution should address the point in question, the establishment of a group of and its composition, including the participation of residents' representatives.

The Mayor of Ełk presented information on the activities that have been since the day of the protest.

The residents presented a letter in which they indicated the entities and institutions which in their opinion could have competently carried out the audit. Including.:

- Department of Environmental Protection and Management, Warsaw University of Technology, Waste Management Team

- Environmental Protection Centre – accredited laboratory.

The Mayor provided the representatives of the residents with observations and information from yesterday's stay in the Department Utylizacyjny Sp. z o.o. Gdańsk Szadółki.

In addition, it was agreed that the next step would be a meeting with the representatives of residents with members of the Board of the Inter-Municipal Association at the with the participation of the President of Ełk and the Head of the Ełk Municipality and the President of the company "Eko Mazury, and also the possible convening of the Assembly of the Inter-Municipal Association of Economy Communal Street.

It is also urgent for the Inter-Municipal Association to select an institution which will carry out a detailed audit of the Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Waste "Eko-MAZURY" Sp. z o.o.
