Meeting with the U.S. Ambassador

The Mayor of Ełk, Tomasz Andrukiewicz, together with several representatives of local governments met on Wednesday (7 August) in Bemowo Piskie with U.S. Ambassador Mark Brzezinski.
Mark Francis Brzezinski is an American lawyer and diplomat of Polish-Czech origin. U.S. Ambassador to Sweden in the years 2011–2015, since 2022 U.S. Ambassador to Poland
In the meeting that took place today, August 7, in Bemowo Pisz was attended by the authorities from ours. region m.in. from Pisz, Orzysz, Mikołajki, Grajewo, Giżycko and Ełk
Ambassador Mark Brzezinski thanked local government officials for cooperation so far, for commitment. He said that Poland is for the USA an important partner in defence matters.
The meeting was an opportunity to talk about current affairs and problems of the region. The main topics discussed during the talks were m.in. the issue of safety guarantees and support for road and investment Railway.
