This Thursday (12 September) at 7.30 p.m. in the ECC Auditorium there will be a concert presenting the mini-album "Alfred Böhmer" in its entirety. Piano notes will intersect with electronic sound and experimental hip-hop. We invite you to the concert on behalf of the artists – Maciej Przyłucki (BePM) and Jan Piekarski. After The concert will feature a screening of a short film documentary about the relationship between father and son, told through the prism of their a common passion – photography directed by Marcin Korbus. Project financed as part of the artistic scholarship of the President of the City of Ełk. Admission to of the event is free of charge.

Kim was Alfred Böhmer? It is born on May 13 1858 in Wrocław, a recognized Prussian photographer. He worked in the army on a daily basis as an employee of the Population Registration Office. Böhmer's oneiric landscapes gained critics from all over Europe, his works have been presented at prestigious exhibitions in Milan, Amsterdam and Erfurt.

Böhmer moved from Opole to Ełk around 1902 Year. 6 years later, during a June storm, he sailed out to Lake Ełk and lost his life. He probably committed suicide. Why Böhmer moved to Ełk? What was The reason for his death?

Why did the memory of him almost disappear? BePM tries to answer these questions on his latest mini-album "Alfred Böhmer".  At the same time, it allows biography of the German photographer through his own experiences, spinning timeless reflections on the essence of humanity.

With ON THE OTHER HAND, THE FILM "NEGATIVE" by Marcin Korbusa is a short documentary about the relationship between father and son, told by the prism of their common passion – photography. They look at old photos and talk A little about being an artist, a little about life, a little about death.

BePM – or Maciej Przyłucki is a sonic artist from Masuria. Associated with Ełk and Giżycko, currently a proud resident of Poznań. His The work is based on alternative hip-hop, flirting with indie, folk and Electronics. BePM is constantly trying to make the quirk authentic. History This is done by way of a clash of sensitivity and experimentation. BePM creates original instrumentals, which he complements with fresh rap full of in-depth introspection. In in his texts always puts the human being in the first place – his sensitivity, emotionality and the right to uniqueness.
