Film "SHELLS" – a symbolic journey towards the light

"SHELLS" is an artistic document showing the process of coming out of the darkness, symbolizing depression, towards light, which is a metaphor for life and Freedom. In the film, the shell plays the role of a symbol – it is a shelter that also limits, ultimately leading to opening up to a new life.

Narration film focuses on the experiences of a character struggling to be cut off from the difficult emotions and on her gradual integration of these feelings through contact with body, movement and the outside world. The shell, with its spiral form, is also a symbol of the cyclical nature of life and the continuous development of consciousness.

Co-creator Kamila Piwnicka, is an experienced director and documentary filmmaker, who produces television programs for Canal+, Discovery, TVN, Polsat, as well as independent projects. Piwnicka, a cultural expert and observer by education found its creative place in Masuria.
