The aim of the project is to increase the recognition of the border area as an attractive destination tourism industry, reducing seasonality in the tourism industry and facilitating the effective use of natural resources and the region's assets for the development of services Tourist. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainable tourism, combining recreation with social and educational aspects. Actions as part of the project aim to promote common products - tourist brands based on the concept of WORKATION (work + leisure).

The results of the project will be - jointly developed Guide for the accommodation sector in the area of cross-border policy, including, m.in, guidance on adapting to work as well as industry marketing. In addition, a joint Strategy will be developed promotion of the Workation brand of the project partners, in the short and Long-term.

ACTIVITIES planned under the projects include:

• developing a strategy for promoting the Workation brand
• development of Workation guides for the sector accommodation
• development of brand promotional materials Workation partners
• development of websites dedicated to the Workation brand Partners
• implementation of Workation promotional campaigns in social media, traditional and outdoor
• promotion of the Workation partners' brand during cultural and tourist events along with the purchase of event equipment

Project prepared by the Municipality The City of Ełk - Science and Technology Park in Ełk entitled "WORKATION as a goal Cross-border Tourism" received funding under the cooperation between the partnership between Poland and Lithuania for the development of sustainable tourism environmental protection in a cross-border area.
