Last Friday (April 4th) the first meeting took place online of the WORKATION project partners. Its participants talked about the merger remote work with leisure in two partner cities, Ełk and Birštonas.

During the meeting, the initial assumptions of the strategy were discussed promotional campaign and planned activities that will be implemented jointly by the both partners. The result of the project is to be a coherent strategy and a recognizable brand promoting Workation as a new way of traveling and working.

The project implemented by the Municipality of the City of Ełk entitled "WORKATION as a cross-border tourism destination" received funding as part of the partnership cooperation between Poland and Lithuania for the development of sustainable ecological tourism in the cross-border area. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the "European Territorial Cooperation for 2021-2027" objective of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG VI-A Lithuania – Poland 2021-2027.
