On Thursday, May 29, at the John Paul II Square Tomasz Andrukiewicz, the Mayor of Ełk, will hand over to the residents of the city 600 seedlings of young trees. This year, the rules of our campaign have changed. Into Until now, seedlings were donated for electronic waste. This time they can be receive for textile waste and used clothing. We would like to remind you that from January 1 2025, new regulations on selective waste collection were introduced textile and clothing. According to them, they may not be disposed of in containers for residual waste.

The residents of Ełk will receive 600 seedlings of 5-year-old seedlings of spruces, pines, birches, maples and limes.

Anyone who brings with them a bag of textiles or clothing, can receive a maximum of 2 seedlings.

The "You give away rubbish – you get a tree" campaign organized is for the 10th time. So far, the inhabitants of Ełk have received and planted 4500 trees.
