Solemn jubilee session of the Ełk City Council

On May 27, 1425, the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, Paul von Rusdorf, granted the location privilege to the settlement located on the lake. This settlement was the modern city of Ełk. Today (27 May) it is exactly 600 years since this event.
Jubilee celebrations are underway in Ełk - throughout the week there are many events to bring the history of the city closer.
In the zebra hall of the Ełk Cultural Center, a solemn jubilee session of the Ełk City Council was held today. The ceremony was attended by councillors of the current and previous terms, hosts of friendly cities, parliamentarians, provincial authorities, representatives of the church, local social activists and entrepreneurs. The event was an opportunity to reminisce, summarise and wish. The councillors also adopted 3 resolutions:
- resolution on the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the foundation of Ełk
- resolution on naming the roundabout "600-lecia" (roundabout being the intersection of roads: Marsz. J. Piłsudskiego Street, Gen. W. Sikorskiego Street and Warszawska Street)
- resolution on naming the roundabout "Bartosz Bratumiła" (roundabout constituting the intersection of the roads: Gen. W. Sikorskiego Street, Słoneczna Street and I. Łukasiewicza Street)
