The field examination point subordinate to the Voivodeship Road Traffic Centre in Olsztyn, closed in the 1990s, returns to Ełk as the Olsztyn branch of the Voivodeship Road Traffic Centre.

No more trips to driving tests to Olsztyn, Łomża or Suwałki. A branch of the Voivodeship Movement Centre was established in Ełk Road. The new centre will cover eight counties: seven from the voivodeship Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and one from Podlaskie.

In the past, Ełk already functioned as a field examination point subordinate to the Voivodeship Road Traffic Centre in Olsztyn. However, it was not an independent branch, but a field place for conducting exams, which was liquidated after organizational changes in the WORD system.

Today (26.02) a gala was held in Ełk Culture on the occasion of the opening of the WORD Olsztyn Field Branch in Ełk. The ceremony brought together many people whose work contributed to the reopening of the exam center.

- This is a historic day in the history of our city. I would like to thank all those who, with their hard work, perseverance and often stubbornness, contributed to the reopening of the driver examination center in Ełk. I would like to thank Marshal Katarzyna Sobiech, Marshal Marcin Kuchciński, Minister Maciej Wróbel. I would like to thank the provincial councillor Bogusław Wisowaty, the director of WORD from Olsztyn Marek Bojarski. The

first state exams in the Ełk branch of the Voivodeship Road Traffic Center will be held on Monday, March 2, 2 March, as

the head of this initiative.
