In order to save another person, they are ready to enter the fire. They are always there where immediate help is needed.
Every year on May 4, we celebrate Firefighter's Day in Poland. On this day, the Catholic Church commemorates St. Florian – the patron saint of firefighters, m.in. On this occasion, today, May 22, a solemn celebration of the Firefighter's Day took place at the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Ełk.
The event brought together representatives of local government authorities, services, institutions cooperating with the Fire Service and close officers. The ceremony was an opportunity not only to thank for service and dedication, but also to present promotions and decorations to the most deserving firefighters.
Thank you for your service!
