Stefan Węgłowski has passed away

3 July 2026, Stefan Węgłowski (87 years old), attorney-at-law, long-time a local government official deeply involved in the development and improvement of the quality of life of our Cities. A person with high social competences, skills cooperation with people, extensive practical knowledge, high personal culture and respect for others.
In the 1990-1994 term of office of the Ełk City Council, he was an active member of the Commission Statute, which developed the first statute of the city, adopted by a resolution in 1991 year. Then, in the term of office 1994-1998, he was a Councillor of the Ełk City Council and Deputy Marshal of the Sejmik Suwałki Voivodeship (delegate of the City Council). In the term of office 1998-2002 – Councillor of the City Council and Vice-Chairman of the City Council, and in the term of office 2010-2014 - Chairman of the Ełk City Council.
