The competition is addressed to graduates of master's, engineer's, bachelor's, doctoral studies and postgraduate students. Its aim is to popularize knowledge about Ełk, promote the achievements of the authors of diploma theses and encourage them to undertake innovative scientific and research projects related to the city.

The competition covers a variety of fields, such as:

• tourism and recreation,
• social policy,
• public administration,
• architecture,
• entrepreneurship development,
• and many other topics related to Ełk.

A total prize pool of PLN 15,000 awaits the winners. Works can be submitted until October 15, 2026.
