Works on the square located at Żeromskiego Street have been completed. Residents can already enjoy a new, welcoming space for rest and recreation with an area of almost 10,000 m².

As part of the investment, new pedestrian routes, a large willow gazebo and wooden pergolas were created. Benches have been installed, including benches for nursing mothers. The playground has also been expanded. Elements of small architecture have also been installed in the square, such as bicycle racks, hammocks, composite seats, waste bins and chess sets. The whole was supplemented with new plantings of greenery. The area has been covered by city monitoring.

The total cost of the works amounted to PLN 1,037,136.00, of which as much as PLN 881,565.60 was EU funding under the European Funds for Warmia and Mazury programme for 2021–2027. This is part of the project "Improving the functionality of two squares in the revitalization area in Ełk" implemented by the City of Ełk, as part of which the square at Słowackiego Street is also being revitalized.
