On Wednesday (24 June), an away meeting was held in Ełk Sejm Infrastructure Committee. The meeting was focused on the development of connections road and rail roads and regional safety. The meeting was attended by parliamentarians and local government officials from the region. Ministry of Infrastructure was represented by Secretary of State Stanisław Bukowiec.

Away meetings were held earlier in Elbląg and Olsztyn. As the chairman of the committee, Mirosław Suchoń, emphasized, such meetings and conversations allow you to get to know local needs better.

The talks concerned the S16 expressway on the section Mrągowo – Ełk, for which the process of obtaining a decision on environmental conditions. The topic of the construction of the Rail railway line was also discussed Baltica on the section Białystok – Ełk – Olecko – Suwałki – State Border.

As the local government representatives from the region, subregion EGO and the Podlaskie Voivodeship, are important investments that have key importance for thefurther development of Ełk and the entire region.

After the meeting, representatives of the Sejm Infrastructure Committee visited the Ełk plant "Serwistal" Sp. z o.o., which has been producing steel and aluminium products for industry for over 20 years. At the end of the three-day visit to Warmia and Masuria, the guests also visited the Historical Museum in Ełk.
